Issues Facing Papillion

Papillion is growing quickly, and the decisions we make today will shape our community for generations. My focus is on thoughtful growth, strong public safety, responsible budgeting, and protecting the quality of life that makes Papillion feel like home.

Responsible Growth & Infrastructure

Priorities

  • Long-term infrastructure planning

  • Traffic and road improvements

  • Balanced residential and commercial growth

  • Smart development that fits the community

  • Planning before problems arise

Growth is coming whether we plan for it or not. My focus is making sure infrastructure, roads, emergency services, and development keep pace with that growth while protecting the character of our neighborhoods and community.

Strong communities rely on strong public safety services. Our police, fire, EMS, and public works departments are essential to protecting residents, businesses, and neighborhoods every day.

As Papillion grows, we must continue investing in staffing, equipment, training, and recruitment so our frontline teams have the support they need.

Priorities

  • Competitive staffing and retention

  • Modern equipment and infrastructure

  • Support for firefighters, EMS, and law enforcement

  • Continued investment in community policing

  • Long-term emergency response planning

Public Safety

Good government starts with responsible financial planning. My approach focuses on maintaining strong reserves, balancing long-term needs with taxpayer impact, and making strategic investments that support the future of our city.

Priorities

  • Maintaining strong financial reserves

  • Responsible budgeting

  • Strategic public-private partnerships

  • Pursuing grants and outside funding

  • Investing carefully and intentionally

Fiscal Responsibility

Small Business & Economic Development

Local businesses help shape the identity of Papillion. Economic growth should support both residents and small businesses while maintaining the community feel that makes our city unique.

Priorities

  • Supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs

  • Attracting thoughtful commercial development

  • Creating jobs and expanding opportunity

  • Revitalizing key areas responsibly

  • Encouraging long-term economic stability

Families across the metro are feeling the pressure of rising housing costs, utilities, groceries, and everyday expenses. Papillion should remain a place where families, seniors, and young professionals can continue to build their future.

Priorities

  • Housing options for different stages of life

  • Workforce and transportation partnerships

  • Smart infrastructure investment

  • Protecting long-term affordability

  • Maintaining strong city services

Affordability & Quality of Life

City government works best when residents feel heard and involved. I believe leadership starts with listening and maintaining open communication with the community.

Priorities

  • Open communication with residents

  • Accessible local leadership

  • Community meetings and outreach

  • Transparent decision-making

  • Encouraging public involvement
